What’s New?

This term we will be continuing to explore a ‘sound of the week’. Please see Tapestry to find out the latest sound and see what objects you can find at home that begin with that sound! Don’t forget to use Tapestry to share your wonderful home learning with me!

We have re-vamped our classroom over the Easter break. We have taken down a wall which makes our Nursery open and spacious for the children. Last term we created a new outdoor kitchen and digging/construction area, the children love exploring these areas with their friends, have a look at the photos on this page.

This term we are also visiting the Reception classroom and outdoor area daily in order to prepare for the Autumn transition. The children have enjoyed the opportunity to play in their large sand pit and use their climbing frame.

We will visit the ‘forest’ on Mondays. Don't forget your sun hats and suncream this term so you can enjoy the outdoor areas safely.

For those wishing to extend their children’s hours, wrap-around care is available through St. Mary’s Pre-school, which operates in the Nursery classroom in the afternoon. This comprises a lunch club from 11.45am to 12.30pm and then an afternoon session from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Parents can choose either one or both options, subject to availability.
