Remote Learning Offer

Remote Learning is becoming increasingly valuable to our children's education.The world is becoming ever more reliant on technology and we want to give our children the best opportunities to thrive in a digital world. It has also proven to be especially useful in the event of school closures.

Each class has its own Google Classroom which can be used for a variety of learning activities. More information can be found in the Google Classroom section of our website. 

Remote Learning Offer:

If a child is required to isolate, their class teacher will provide learning activities via the Google Classroom or Tapestry. 

In the event of a class/full school closure due to Covid the following remote learning provision will be provided.

Nursery/Reception: 

Daily activities via Tapestry. 

Years 1 and 2:

A minimum of three hours provision will consist of: daily maths, phonics and English activity plus at least one other foundation subject. Weekly RE activity and daily Google Meet with teaching staff. Work will be set via Google Classrooms and paper copies of activities will be available for those who request them.

Years 3 to 6:

A minimum of four hours provision will consist of: daily maths, reading and English activity plus at least one other foundation subject. Weekly RE activity and daily Google Meet with teaching staff. Work will be set via Google Classrooms and paper copies of activities will be available for those who request them.

Class emails will continue to be monitored daily and are an important way of contacting teaching staff. In addition, our well-being email: wellbeing@stmarys916.herts.sch.uk will continue to be closely monitored and is an important source of advice and support.
