St Mary's C of E

Primary School

Year 6

Welcome to Year 6!

I am delighted to be teaching Year 6 and hope that the children have a fantastic final year at St Mary's. I'm so pleased that we're all back at school and ready to learn! We have had a fantastic start to the term and the children have really settled in to new routines. I'm so proud of each and every one of them. I know we're going to have a terrific year!

The Year 6 Team:

Teacher: Mrs Taylor

Teaching Assistants: Mrs Clark, Mrs Evans & Mrs Sales

What have we been up to?

Recently, Year 6 took part in Parliament Activity Week.  We worked in groups to decide on what things we would like our government to be thinking about. We had lots of ideas from climate change to children's welfare. We worked creatively and generated posters, information leaflets and even raps to get our message across!

Year 5 & 6 have also just completed the Cycle Training! They had a fantastic week learning about cycle safety!

Year 6 now run our Collective Worship Team and every child will have a chance to lead worship in a group throughout the year. This week we led Collective Worship to the school all about Diwali.

Reminders:

PE lessons will be on Wednesday and Friday.
