Summer Term

On our class page you will find:

  • Our class timetable
  • Our curriculum leaflet

Following your feedback, we also post this information on Tapestry every half term for easy access.

Home Learning

A reading book will be sent home every week for your child to read to you every day. Please could you comment on their reading in the yellow reading journal, we like to know how they are getting on. If returned, the reading book will be changed each week.

The EYFS library trolley is open every Friday morning for children to choose a book which they can share with their parents/carers at home.

What's New

We have an exciting half term ahead of us and here are some of the highlights:

To start the half term we will be finding out about Lent and we will attend the Ash Wednesday Church Service. We will also be taking part in Pancake Races with the whole school.

We will be reading a text called 'The Naughty Bus' and making our own book about a bus, and its adventures in a variety of environments, using photography. Where the bus goes will be the children's choice. We will also be thinking about how we could rescue the bus from water, we will test our ideas and make adaptations according to what we find.

Questions everywhere .... in our curiosity box we will be placing objects that evoke questions and we practise using why questions.

Don't forget that we will be presenting at the Mother's Day Service on Friday 17th March and we looking forward to seeing some of you there.

Please see our latest curriculum leaflet for all the exciting learning opportunities planned for this half term.

Tapestry

Tapestry is an amazing resource that allows us to share what your child has achieved at school. We encourage you to share with us magic moments and achievements from home. Please don't hesitate to contact the EYFS team if you would like any further help using Tapestry.

Reminders

Please return library books on a Friday morning so that a new one can be taken home.

We visit the forest on a Friday so please make sure your waterproofs and wellies are in school.
